Welcome Residents of Turtle Creek!
We are excited to begin working with you as your community prepares for renovations. We hope this site is a resource for you as you plan for the rehabilitation of your unit. Please review each of the following steps to best prepare, and don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions along the way!
Step 1: Complete your survey
You only need to complete this once, but it is one of the most important steps. This information is the best way for us to understand the needs of your household during this process.
Step 2: Preparing for Renovation
Your preparation is important to this process. You will receive a 30-day notice as your renovation approaches. The notice will include the date and specific unit. When you receive that notice, packing materials will be available. Just check in with the management office to gain access. This would include boxes, packing paper, and packing tape.
You will need to fully pack your apartment. All items should be packed in boxes so that they can be moved by our moving team. You will need to provide covers/padding for your furniture, so we suggest setting aside some blankets or towels while packing if you have any items that will need additional protection.
We will perform a final walk of your home in the days before your renovation. This is a chance for you to ask any last-minute questions while we assess your readiness. At this time, prepare a bag with your essentials for the day of your move and any valuables you prefer to keep with you or transport yourself. This should include items such as any medication you take, a cell phone charger, etc.
The day of your move you will need to pack the contents of your refrigerator and freezer. We will ask that you put items from your fridge and freezer in a cooler/box right before vacating the unit so that you can take perishable items straight to your new unit.
What is Coming?
Work on occupied units began in January of 2025 and is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
In an attempt to minimize the number of your moves and inconvenience to your household, we intend to offer permanent one-time moves to a newly renovated apartment whenever possible. Some residents may be temporarily relocated if the same floor plan is not available at the time you are required to move for construction.
Renovations will include a new community playground, access control and a key-fob system, community-wide WiFI, new HVAC, new kitchen/bathroom cabinetry and fixtures, new flooring, new windows and new patio doors. The community will also be going non-smoking during the renovations.

FAQs
Q: When should I start packing my belongings?
A: You will receive a notice with details of your move at least 30 days in advance of your move date. Before you receive that notice, it is a great time to start going through your closets and making a donation box! Once you have received your notice to move, you can visit the management office to pick up your packing materials and begin packing your household items.
Q: Who will be responsible for moving the items in my apartment?
A: We have secured a moving company that will move your boxes and furniture items on the day of your move.
Q: What if I was already planning to request a transfer to a bigger apartment?
A: If you plan to make a transfer request, please visit the management office and let them know you’d like to start the process. You will need to go through an approval process to change floor plans, you will otherwise be matched with a similar unit style.
Q: My household has certain circumstances that I think will affect my move, what should I do?
A: Please complete the relocation survey linked above, and when you receive your notice to move, please reach out to your relocation coordinator (listed on your notice) to connect with advisory services.
Q: What do I do about my utility services when I need to move (like electricity or cable)?
A: You will need to call to transfer your utility services prior to your move after you have received your 30-day notice. Utility connection fees can be reimbursed to your household after you present receipts to the management office. You must wait until your move has been scheduled to contact your utility providers.
